How to get to Playa Isla Canela?
Getting to Playa Isla Canela is quite easy, as it is well connected by road and public transport. Below, we explain the main options:
Isla Canela is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Huelva and approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from Seville. You can easily get there via the A-49 highway and then take the exit towards Ayamonte/Isla Canela. Once in Ayamonte, follow the signs to Isla Canela. There are several parking lots available near the beach, both free and paid.
There are several bus lines connecting Huelva and Seville with Ayamonte. From Ayamonte, you can take a local bus (M-312) to Isla Canela. Buses are an economical and convenient option, especially if you don’t have a car.
If you are coming from further away, the nearest airport is Faro Airport in Portugal, which is about 1 hour drive from Isla Canela. From the airport, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service to your accommodation in Isla Canela, by bus taking the number 16, to Terminal Rodoviário, from there the line R 5709 towards Vila Real de Santo Antonio, once in Vila Real de Santo Antonio, you will have to take a boat to cross the Guadiana river.
